About The Studio Reston Community Players

Founded in 1966 with the original musical The Greatest Game in Town, Reston Community Players has grown into an all-volunteer, award-winning theatre company that has staged more than 200 productions for audiences across Northern Virginia and the greater D.C. area. After re-forming in 1972 and establishing its permanent home at CenterStage in Reston Community Center in 1979, RCP has built a reputation for professional-quality productions supported entirely by volunteers, sustained by its rehearsal hall, scene shop, and costume facilities in Herndon. Known for its commitment to inclusion, creativity, and community engagement, RCP also supports young artists through two annual $3,000 scholarships. Over the decades, its work has been recognized with dozens of nominations and numerous honors from the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) Awards, celebrating excellence in performance, direction, and design across the region.
