Anything Goes by Liberty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado

What To Know About This Production

We're looking for a cast of up to 32 performers (16 Principals and 16 Ensemble) to bring this production to life! There is a large variety of characters in this show, including some with minimal dance requirements and little or no solo singing necessary. Ability to read music and sing and hold harmony parts is a big plus! Although tap dancing is preferred, we're going to make sure anyone we cast will look good on stage!

We would love a large crew for this production, so bring all your talent and energy to your interview!

Auditions For Anything Goes

What To Expect At Auditions

CAST AUDITIONS - WHAT IS EXPECTED:

  1. Singing-Acting: You will sing ONE OR TWO selections from those made available to you. You should make clear ACTING choices during this part, as singing alone will NOT set you apart from others. Make sure if doing TWO songs, they are CONTRASTING in nature. Two of the same thing will not help in our casting decisions.
  2. Dancing: You will be taught a dance combination in your audition group to perform for the directors. NO TAP SHOES ALLOWED.
  3. Scores: You will be scored on these traits (scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, EXCEPT for LOOKS):
  4. Dance
  5. Voice
  6. Acting
  7. Stage Presence
  8. Looks (you may see this category, but we have decided to not use this as part of your score, due to its confusing nature).
  9. CALLBACKS will be sent out on the evening of January 23rd. Callbacks will take place onstage on the 24th beginning at 3:15 pm.
  10. You MAY be asked to read short scenes with other actors.
  11. There will be a more intensive dance callback.

CASTING/CREW ASSIGNMENTS (this part is new) will be PUBLISHED online on Sunday, January 26th at 10:00 a.m.

CREW INTERVIEWS - WHAT IS EXPECTED

  1. Complete the audition form and conflict calendar BEFORE you interview.
  2. If you are new, bringing examples of work you have done before is very helpful to set yourself apart from others.
