Vital Contributions to Santa Clara's Cultural Life The Santa Clara Ballet provides a vital contribution to the cultural programming in the City of Santa Clara, South Bay Area, and the Silicon Valley. Due to our efforts, thousands of people in the local community have experienced live, professional level ballet, presented by a local organization, and staged and performed by local artists as well as featured world-class professional guest artists. Many businesses and organizations recognize the value of the Santa Clara Ballet in their community, and donate funds in an effort to sustain these developments.
Enrichment to our children in Santa Clara and Silicon Valley Many of the young dancers who performed with Santa Clara Ballet Company as part of their training have received acceptance and scholarship honors from famous dance institutions throughout the country. Some of our dancers have also realized their ultimate goals by pursuing their careers in ballet with major US companies. Young students have been offered free tickets to view our performances - often the first time that they have attended a live arts event of this kind. About the Santa Clara Ballet Association The non-profit (501c3) Santa Clara Ballet Association has been primarily funded by annual membership donations and yearly gifts from the City of Santa Clara. In addition, friends of the Ballet volunteer their time and effort for backstage work and fundraising projects. It is the collective commitment of the Directors, dancers, volunteers, and individual and corporate members that enable the Santa Clara Ballet to continue its goal of keeping classical ballet alive in the community in spite of very limited funds. The Santa Clara Ballet actively acknowledges the need for a professional quality ballet company in our community as well as the need for opportunities for local dancers seeking careers in ballet.
