PassinArt is the longest producing theater company founded and led by Black folks in the State of Oregon. Founded in 1982, the company is dedicated to passing on art, culture, and history from one generation to the next by bringing content that challenges the historical racial divide in a predominantly white state. Through stage performances, play readings, youth theater education, a biennial film and stage festival and more, PassinArt provides a platform for emerging and experienced Black and multicultural artists to share their craft and talents with diverse audiences.
