The Campo Musical Theatre program is an after-school offshoot of the Choral Music Program at Campolindo High School in Moraga, California. Campolindo produces a fully staged Broadway musical with student actors, dancers, crew and pit orchestra once each winter/spring. The program is open to students who are members of one or more of the Campolindo Choirs and (for the pit) to students in the instrumental music program and to students in the Technical Theater program for backstage management.
The emphasis of the program for the students is on music, but parent volunteers and a paid staff create a professional framework within which students are able to perform to their highest potential. Professional artistic and stage directors, choreographers, music directors, lighting, sound, and costume designers give the productions a flair that keeps audiences coming back long after their students have graduated.
