Cast List For Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion

Available Roles

  • Sherlock Holmes - The world’s most famous detective—brilliant, curious, and always ten steps ahead. Sherlock is known for their sharp mind, quick wit, and ability to solve the most puzzling mysteries using logic and observation. Often serious and focused, Sherlock can also be dramatic and eccentric, with a flair for the theatrical when revealing the truth. This role is great for someone who enjoys playing a clever, confident character with strong stage presence. May talk in a british accent.
  • Miss Marple - Sweet little old lady that is kind, unassuming figure with a sharp eye and a sharper mind. Miss Marple may appear like a sweet, quiet neighbor, but don’t be fooled—she notices everything and often solves mysteries before the police do! Calm, clever, and polite, she uses her understanding of human nature and a lifetime of observation to uncover the truth. Great for someone who enjoys playing a wise, thoughtful, and underestimated character.
  • Shaggy - Easy going, goofy, and always hungry member of the Scooby Doo. Shaggy might not be the bravest, but he’s loyal and funny—and often finds clues by accident! He’s known for his love of snacks (especially Scooby Snacks) and his hilarious reactions to spooky situations. Great for someone with strong comedic timing and a laid-back personality. Known for his distinct voice.
  • Velma - The brainy problem-solver of the Scooby Doo gang. Velma is super intelligent, observant, and always the first to figure out the clues—though she might lose her glasses along the way! She's logical and sometimes a bit blunt, but her smarts are what help crack the case. Perfect for someone who loves playing clever, no-nonsense characters.
  • Daphne - Member of the Scooby Doo gang that is stylish, smart, and always up for an adventure. Daphne is known for her fashion sense, but she’s also resourceful and brave when it matters most. She’s often the peacemaker in the group and isn’t afraid to jump into the action. Great for someone who can bring charm, confidence, and courage to the stage.
  • Fred - The confident and brave leader of the Scooby Doo gang. Fred is all about solving mysteries and coming up with plans—especially ones involving traps! He's determined, organized, and always ready to take charge, though sometimes a little too sure of himself. A great role for someone who enjoys being in control and thinking on their feet.
  • Batman - A mysterious hero with a dark cape and a strong sense of justice. Batman is serious, focused, and fearless when it comes to fighting crime. By day, he's billionaire Bruce Wayne; by night, he's the protector of Gotham City. He doesn’t have superpowers—just brains, bravery, and awesome gadgets. Perfect for someone who enjoys playing a calm, intense, and heroic character with a secret identity. Known for a distinct lower voice. We will primarily know him as Batman in this show and not much time spent as Bruce Wayne.
  • Nancy Drew - A fearless teen detective with a sharp mind and a strong sense of justice. Nancy is clever, curious, and always determined to uncover the truth—no matter how tricky the mystery. She’s confident, resourceful, and doesn’t back down from a challenge. Ideal for someone who enjoys playing a bold, intelligent character with great instincts and leadership skills.
  • Frank Hardy - The older and more serious of the Hardy brothers. Frank is smart, focused, and always thinking a few steps ahead. He’s great at solving puzzles, noticing small details, and staying calm under pressure. A natural leader, Frank approaches every mystery with logic and determination. Great for someone who enjoys playing a cool, confident detective.
  • Joe Hardy - The younger Hardy brother—energetic, brave, and quick on his feet. Joe is more impulsive than Frank but just as determined to crack the case. He’s got a big heart, a sense of humor, and a fearless attitude that sometimes gets him into (and out of) trouble. Perfect for someone who loves action, adventure, and a little mischief.
  • Sam Spade - A classic private detective—cool, clever, and always one step ahead. Sam Spade is quick-witted and sharp-tongued, with a knack for asking the right questions and spotting the truth in a world full of lies. With a trench coat and a tough attitude, Sam is the ultimate mystery-solver. Great for someone who enjoys playing a smooth, confident, and slightly sarcastic character with style.
  • Detective Christie - One of two detectives who gets called to the mansion to investigate and try to solve the murder mystery. Will spend a lot of time interviewing witnesses and working with her partner.
  • Detective Kane - One of two detectives who gets called to the mansion to investigate and try to solve the murder mystery. Will spend a lot of time interviewing witnesses and working with his/her partner.
  • Madame Doyle - Owner of Madame Doyle's Museum for Crime and Justice (also known as the Murder Mansion). She is an eccentric and dramatic woman - she will also have several over dramatic comedic reactions in the mansion. She is the host for the fundraiser event taking place at the mansion during the show and has invited all the famous detectives to be the special guests as she raises money to keep her mansion open.
  • Ensemble Members - These will be fans in attendance at the event - some may have their own podcasts, others may be big fans of the special guest detectives in attendance, others may play the 911 operator.
  • Tech Team - Stage Manager - Helps Director run rehearsals and shows.
  • Tech Team - Costume Crew - Helps design, prepare, and track costumes for all actors.
  • Tech Team - Hair & Makeup Team - Helps design & prepare hair & makeup plans for all actors. May be in charge of specialty hair and makeup for certain characters.
