What To Know About This Production

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a classic coming-of-age novel set in the 1960s that explores the lives of two rival teenage groups: the Greasers and the Socs. The story is narrated by Ponyboy Curtis, a sensitive and thoughtful Greaser who struggles with the conflicts between the two groups, his identity, and the challenges of growing up. Both groups of teens learn how adversity impacts people of all social classes and backgrounds. Please note that this show deals with gang violence, drinking, and death, so if you are uncomfortable with that, it might not be the right fit for you.

What To Expect At Auditions

Auditions: 5:45-7:45 pm on Tuesday, September 24


Location: LCS Sanctuary



We will begin by playing some warm-up improv games. Each person will be asked to perform a short monologue (by yourself). We will then read some scenes (sides) from the script. These are open auditions, meaning they will take place with everyone who is auditioning and the production staff in the same room. If we feel that we need to see more specific things, we will call you back on Thursday, September 26.
