What To Know About This Production

We kick off our 25^th anniversary season with the international sensation that’s become a global phenomenon. With resident productions on Broadway, London’s West End, Toronto, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Australia, not to mention touring companies, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21^st-century girl power. This Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of Toby Marlow and lucy Moss’ international blockbuster, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.

What To Expect At Auditions

M&D is pleased to announce auditions for SIX-Teen Edition by Toby Marlow & Lucy Moss. Performances are February 20 - March 02, 2025, with the possibility of extending the run an additional week. Thursdays – Fridays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 3:30pm. The rehearsal schedule is TBD and will be based on actor conflicts. At M&D we welcome performers of all abilities and do not discriminate against race, color, region, disability, gender, and sexual orientation. There is an age requirement for this production. You *MUST* be no older than 19 years of age and no younger than 12 years of age to participate in this production.

Auditions will take place on Saturday December 7 from 10am-4pm and Sunday December 8 from 10am-2pm at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse, 2760 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH. Auditions are by appointment only. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a contemporary pop song that highlights your belt and/or mix. You can either email your sheet music to artdirector@mdplayhouse.com. If you do not have sheet music, you can email a link to a karaoke version of the song. If you are unable to make the auditions, but would still like to be considered, please email a self-tape to artdirector@mdplayhouse.com no later than December 06, 2024.

Swings - In addition to the six queens, we will be casting 2 swings to understudy all roles. We cannot guarantee stage time, but it will be a great opportunity to work with a fabulous production team and learn some fun music and choreo!
