Radium Girls by Grandville High School in Grandville, Michigan

What To Know About This Production

"Radium Girls" is a historical drama that explores the true story of female factory workers in the 1920s who painted luminous watch dials using radium, unaware of its deadly effects. The play focuses on one of these women, Grace Fryer, who led several of her fellow employees who got sick in a lawsuit against their employer for its role in their illness and its refusal to admit responsibility or pay for the health care of their employees. Will the Radium Girls get justice before their time is up, or will the United States Radium Corporation succeed in running out the clock and escape the legal consequences for their negligence?
