For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

What To Expect At Auditions

Prepare a monologue of your choice from the provided audition material. Auditions will be held 8/11 after school until 6 PM and will continue with callbacks 8/12-8/14. Once you have read for your time slot, you will be free to go.

Available Roles

  • Wayne Hopkins - Our hero. An American 90’s kid obsessed with video games, pop music, and peak cinema like Free Willy. A kid with a great heart who is determined to be the hero, even if a certain boy with a magic scar keeps stealing his thunder.
  • Megan Jones - If a Puff could be moody and goth, she found a way. Sarcastic, angry, and embarrassed of being a Puff. Looks up to her missing mother, a Puff who works for the Dark Lord. Deep down, all she wants is to feel loved and accepted.
  • Oliver Rivers - A math prodigy born to muggles; he struggles with basic magic. Spastic, nerdy, and very enthusiastic about advanced mathematics, he is Wayne’s best friend and develops a crush on Megan.
  • Leanne - An energetic and very excitable Puff. She’s lived in a cabin in the woods her whole life and has never been around other children until being sent to Magic School. Probably the most innocent and pure of heart Puff.
  • JFinch - The youngest puff. Very sweet and fun loving. Ernie’s best friend.
  • Susie Bones - A sad and creepy Puff girl. She has a lot of scary stories about her wizarding family and their bad luck.
  • Sally Perks - A near-sighted Puff who refuses to wear her glasses. She has a crush on Wayne and would do anything for him to notice.
  • Ernie Mac - An Irish boy who fancies himself as “the best Puff”.
  • Hannah Abbott - A socially awkward and painfully shy Puff. She doesn’t have the best social cues.
  • Harry - A certain “Boy who Lived”. A well-meaning, but cocky boy who rules the school like he owns it. Doesn’t seem to notice the Puffs at all.
  • Cedric - The Puffs’ golden boy. Perfect smile, perfect attitude, and the perfect leader. A Disney Channel hero somehow stuck in the Wizarding World.
  • Mr. Voldy - The Wizarding Dark Lord. He’s a real Snake.
  • Xavia Jones - Megan’s Evil mother. Similar to Bellatrix Lestrange if she was sorted into the Puffs as a student.

  • Ginny - Ron Wesley’s sister. Kind of annoying. Wayne has a crush on her.
  • Myrtle - The Ghost of a student who haunts the bathroom.
  • Fat Friar - The ghost of a Friar who haunts the school.

  • Frenchy - A French witch who goes to school for magic French people in France.

  • Bippy - A House Elf who randomly appears in the trio’s lives. Loves to sing very annoying songs.

  • 1st Headmaster - The Headmaster of a Certain School of Magic and Magic. Very old and wheezy.
  • 2nd Headmaster - : Totally the same Headmaster of a Certain School of Magic and Magic. Nothing different about him at all, no sir. We definitely didn’t change actors midway through the show. Angrier and more active than First Headmaster
  • Uncle Dave - Wayne’s crazy uncle from Cattlepoke Springs, New Mexico.
  • Snake Student -
  • Narrator - The host of the evening. They know everything about the Puffs and A Certain School of Magic and Magic.
