Auditions For How I Became a Pirate

What To Expect At Auditions

Auditions are open, meaning that you will audition in front of the team and others auditioning.

Sign up for a Vocal Audition AND the Dance Audition. While you will only audition in one vocal slot, you are welcome to attend both to watch.

Please prepare a 60-90 second song in the style of the show, noting that comedy is preferred but not required and be prepared to read a short monologue with your best pirate accent.

We PLAN to cast all HS students for all roles except for Jeremy Jacobs. However, if we do not have enough students sign up to audition, 7th & 8th graders will be considered for pirate roles as well.

Students in Middle School (5th-8th) are welcome to audition for the part of Jeremy Jacobs, the 10 year old boy. (Voice unchanged, should look younger/smaller than the pirates.) Please note that while we MAY double cast the role, it is also very possible that only one student will be selected from the middle school group, and all others will not be cast. A male or female may play this role, but the character must be male presenting.

The audition form is not yet posted.
