What To Know About This Production

Hawks Nest is based on the true story of the Hawks Nest Tunnel Disaster. Sam, a young man in depression-era West Virginia, tries to support his family by working on the tunnel project. Instead, he falls victim to the greatest industrial disaster in American History.

What To Expect At Auditions

Audition Workshop November 18th at 4pm in the auditorium
Auditions November 19th starting at 4pm in the auditorium
Read-thru November 20th starting at 4:15pm in the choir room
Block Scenes 1-7 December 2nd at 4:15pm in the auditorium
Block Scenes 7-15 December 3rd at 4:15pm in auditorium
Regular Rehearsal begins December 4th, see attached schedule
Rehearsals begin off book December 17th
Public Dress rehearsal January 22nd at 7pm
Sub-Section Competition = January 25, 2025 all day at Rock Ridge! (We won’t know performance time until January. Must finish in the top three to advance.)
Final Section Competition at TBD = February 2, 2025 all day. (Must finish first to advance to state.)
State Performance = February 6-7, 2026 at O’Shaughnessy Theatre (if we advance)
