What To Expect At Auditions

The Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College is excited to announce auditions for Disaster The Musical!

An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music for the accompanist to play. Performing with an accompanist is strongly preferred, but you may provide tracks if you do not have sheet music. Please note: Amplification will not be provided and playing backing tracks off a cell phone (without proper additional amplification) is strongly discouraged.

Auditions will take place in the Technology Center (Building D) in Room 106. The building is located the Cecil College North East Campus.

We highly recommend auditioning in person, but if you cannot make either audition date, you may submit a video. The first time slot on the list of audition slots is there for you to select if you will be submitting a video. Those submitting a video to audition have until Sunday, November 9 at 11:59pm.

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, November 13 starting at 6pm. Callback notifications will be sent out by Tuesday, November 11 by 5pm. There will be a dance section of callbacks from 6 - 7pm, with singing and sides to occur afterwards.

Rehearsals will begin in mid to late November. Rehearsals will be based on both performer and production staff availability, so please submit all known conflicts at the time of auditions. The Milburn Stone Theatre traditionally rehearses between 2 to 4 times a week.

Tech Week will be held Sunday, February 22 through Thursday, February 26, no conflicts will be accepted for these dates.

The Milburn Stone Theatre is a community Theatre on a college campus, our productions are open to the entire community, not just Cecil College Students, Faculty and Staff. This production is non-paid/non-union

All roles are available, ages listed are ranges and not exact. All are welcome to audition for any roles listed, but due to our contract with Musical Theatre International they will be performed as originally written.
