Auditions For Clue

What To Expect At Auditions

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in being a member of Act Too Drama Club’s “Team Clue”. Please read through the following information before filling out your application/audition form and entering your conflicts from now until the show (November 15 + 16).. Both potential cast and crew members need to fill out the application on Cast98.com. Applications MUST be completed on or before auditions (September 9 or 10).

If you would like to be considered for this production (cast or crew) you MUST join the Remind group. Text @lshclue24 to 81010 or join through the Remind app. I highly recommend your parents/guardians also join this group. This will be how I communicate with you on a daily basis.

TENTATIVE REHEARSAL CALENDAR: This one is just for your convenience. You still need to fill out your specific conflicts on your audition form. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g9nI_eYPWhZw3kiOF2R-HZ6GpWU94ZIvLQkHKNDu8PM/pub

Please note that all cast and crew are required every rehearsal and performance in November.

Please confirm that you have reliable transportation for this commitment, rehearsals + performances. It is important that you arrive and are picked up ON TIME.

Please contact me, Mrs. Walt with questions: jwalt@spartan.limacityschools.org or through Remind by texting @lshclue24 to 81010.

Are you interested in being cast?

We will be casting 9th-12th grade Spartans for our Fall Play: Clue.

Auditions will be Monday + Tuesday, September 9 + 10 (3:30-5:00pm) (choose 1 day) with call backs on Thursday, September 12 (3:30-5pm) in the LSH Joe Henderson Auditorium. You need to attend the whole audition/callback time. Unlike recent shows, not everyone who auditions will be cast in this play and therefore, not everyone will be called back on Thursday. If you’re not cast this time around, I’d still highly recommend being involved on crew.

Auditions are in-person, not by video. (You need to audition with a short (1-2 minute-ish) comedic monologue (a speech given by one character) that is well rehearsed. I highly recommend attending the audition workshop on Tuesday, September 3 (3:15-4:15pm) in the Theatre to help you feel more prepared and confident in your audition.

A more specific rehearsal schedule will be created based on your availability that you enter on your application.

I highly recommend watching Clue, the movie, the play on YouTube or reading the play before your audition.

Are you interested in being on crew?

We are searching for crew members who are 9th-12th grade Spartans for our Fall Play: Clue. Depending on the size of your role/job, you can be involved both on and offstage.

The Stage Manager (SM) and Stage Managers (ASMs) will need to attend all rehearsals. All other crew members are encouraged to attend rehearsals throughout the process to prepare your particular area. Example: Props Crew will need to create a props list and pull props during rehearsals. All crew members are needed on our Saturday Build Days and for production meetings (TBD).

Here are the available positions and their responsibilities: Crew Roles

Be sure to note which area(s) you are interested in on your application.

Thank you for your involvement. We could not do it without you. I look forward to collaborating with you!
