What To Know About This Production
We are performing the French version of the Cinderella story, written in 1697 by Charles Perrault because it is in this version that Perrault added the pumpkin, the fairy- godmother and the “glass” slippers.
The plot of "Cinderella" is that a young girl (who is treated terribly by her stepsisters) experiences a bit of magic from her fairy godmother and is able to go to a ball dressed as a beautiful princess. There, she falls in love with a prince. The following day, she goes back but leaves her slipper. The prince then searches the kingdom to find her, and eventually, thanks to the slipper, he does.
