Auditions For Be More Chill

What To Expect At Auditions

Please prepare a song (approx. 32 bars, or 60 - 90 seconds of music) in the style of the show. To listen to the original cast recording please click this link: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVCGoIP8unk&list=PLw4QCMCKBq44lQmRVXHNuR1M8zmGmtN_o)

An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music for the accompanist to play. Performing with an accompanist is strongly preferred, but you may provide tracks if you do not have sheet music.

Amplification will not be provided and playing backing tracks off a cell phone (without proper additional amplification) is strongly discouraged.

Location of Auditions: Auditions will be held in The Technology Center – Amphitheater (Room 106). The Technology Center (Building D) is located on the Cecil College Campus, which is at One Seahawk Dr. North East, MD 21901. Callbacks Information: Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at 6:30pm. Notifications for callbacks will be sent out by 10:00am on Wednesday, June 25.

Rehearsal Information: Rehearsals for Be More Chill will begin in early July. Rehearsals will be based on both performer and production staff availability, so please submit all known conflicts through this form. The Milburn Stone Theatre traditionally rehearses between 2 to 4 times a week.

Please note: Cecil College will be closed Friday, August 29th at 5pm through Tuesday, September 2nd at 7pm in observation of Labor Day.

Tech week will be held Sunday, September 7th through Thursday, September 11th, no conflicts will be accepted for these dates.

The Milburn Stone Theatre is a community Theatre on a college campus, our productions are open to the entire community, not just Cecil College Students, Faculty and Staff. This production is non-paid/non-union. All roles are available, ages listed are ranges and not exact. In addition, The Milburn Stone Theatre is committed to Cecil College’s principles of diversity, equity, and inclusivity, and encourages performers of all ethnicities, races, backgrounds, genders, and ages to audition but they will be performed as originally written.
