About Lockport Middle School Visual & Performing Arts Club
LKMS VAPA began last year as an idea to fill a gap in the arts for our community and in our schools in a positive artistic manner. Our purpose is to build confidence, community, trust, respect, expression and creativity in our students. We perform one musical a year and it is a student led program. Our students range in age from 11-14. They not only act, dance and sing; they also write bios and narrations, paint and create our sets, props, and costumes; run our lights and sound; play musical instruments; choreograph dances; as well as direct and lead the play artistically and fundamentally.
