What To Expect At Auditions

Here is the audition information for the show. Please visit our website, musictheatrewest.org to sign up for an audition time. The cast list will be found on here on Cast98 and we will use this platform for rehearsal schedules, etc...

Adults, Ages 16+: Audition dates are Nov. 5 & 6, 2019. Please prepare a 1 minute vocal selection that shows your vocal range and acting ability. An accompanist will be provided (bring sheet music in the correct key), or you may bring your own accompanist or instrumental track. Video auditions are accepted (please contact the director) but not preferred.

Adult Dance Auditions: All adults will need to attend one of the three dance auditions. They will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:00 PM and 7:45 PM in the dance room next to the Carousel Ballroom, and Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 8:30PM in the Carousel Ballroom. You will not be considered unless we can see you dance. If you need to submit a dance audition video, please contact the director.

Girls, Ages 7-14: Audition dates are Nov 5-7, 2019. We will have all the girls sing the first 10 measures of "Hard-Knock Life" in the key of B Major. A link to the audition portion and a rehearsal track can be found on the Audition page of www.musictheatrewest.org for rehearsal purposes. Girls will also need to say the following line in their biggest stage voices "You'll stay up till this dump shines like the top of the Chrysler Building."

CALLBACKS for Orphans will be held from 7:00-8:30 PM on Thursday Nov. 7th in the Carousel Ballroom. Those in final contention for the role of Annie will be asked to attend Final Callbacks on Saturday, Nov. 9th at 9AM in the same location.

Final Callbacks (for all adult roles and Annie) will be held Saturday, Nov. 9th, beginning at 9AM in the same location.

On your conflict calendar, please list conflicts from Jan 2, 2020 - Feb 22, 2020 (there can be NO conflicts after Feb. 22). The show runs select dates from Feb. 28 - March 7, 2020.
